The Games Board

Welcome to the Games Board. We are a group of game Historians. Our particular area of interest is British manufactured games published around the Victorian and Edwardian eras (1750-1910) although some members' expertise extends to other areas such as gaming counters, pub games and the history of game publishers and manufacturers like Jaques and F.H.Ayres.

Launched in 2007, our website is growing and will centre around GARD, the Games Reference Database through which we will publish brand new material of significant historical interest.

We will also have adhoc articles on the History of Games, Games Collections, information on Game Makers and Manufacturers, pictures of historical games and Games resources such as Museums and other groups of games people from around the world.
